New parts included front suspension swivels, new front and rear brake pads, new rear discs and axle brake pipe, new exhaust middle box and tail pipe. The car has also had a new gearbox filter and gearoil change. The car has only done around 5000 miles in the last 5 years as the previous owner didn`t use it too much. I bought it and got it though the MOT and have done a few miles since but it is still relatively low mileage at 122000. There are some old Mots to prove mileage and a number of receipts plus a stamped up service book. I might manage to get a picture of these on to the listing soon. The car has virtually no signs of rust and not too many marks. The interior is very clean and tidy and it has all of the extras including the 6 disc CD multichanger. This car is simply bags of fun! The Extreme Sport has a good spec, including comfortable sports seats and a good quality (and very loud) CD Radio. In addition, as you will see from the photographs, this one has a front winch, and a tow bar (with electrics). and you will be hard pushed to find one with such low miles. Theres a few scuffs here and there and a tiny bit of rust above the drivers door (see pics) I don`t think the Jeep has ever seen any serious off-roading.I`ve had the Jeep for 2 years now and with having to cover more miles in work I need something more economical. The Jeep is a 4.0L petrol so be aware that its not the most frugal of vehicles. This is my second Cherokee and if not for work I`d be keeping it. My previous Jeep had done about 70K odd and was good but not as good as this one (I would say that though but its true - I wanted an Orvis so bought this one) When I bought the Jeep it was in Glasgow (I live in West Wales) had a few long chats with the previous owner and managed to find one of the other previous owners on a Jeep forum. I get as much info as possible before setting off to fetch the Jeep - I even took my 8 year old daughter so was pretty sure it was a good one) We stayed in a hotel overnight and on the way home on day 2 the drivers window fell into the door frame. The little plastic key that rides up and down the frame had worn out - a common issue with the fix provided by the US Cherokee owners. I fixed it but it does not auto-stop when it gets to the top and bottom. It works fine just makes a bit of noise when it gets to the top. When I recently had a bash at making it auto-stop I haven`t fitted one of the links properly for the lock so the drivers door does not actually lock - I`ll fix this before it goes - its just one of those getting round to it type jobs. Everything else is spot on. I`ve also been asked about marks and such around the Jeep. The corners of the bumpers have a few grazes and theres a light-ish scratch going down one side - bit like a key line - but it isn`t too noticeable - I tried to show it in the picture of the close up of the one side of the body. When its polished you can`t really see it. The rust spots are more like blemishes above the drivers door and are no bigger than a 5p. Hope that helps. X

miles then you will struggle to find a better car for the money. If you are doing the miles, then it is easy and relatively cheap to convert to LPG which effectively halves your fuel costs. This is a reluctant sale but when a friend loans you his nearly-new Discovery for 2 years while he`s in Canada, it sort of forces the issue for all the right reasons... So a fond farewell to a great car. It has low miles for it`s age and no more dinks and scratches than you would expect on a ten-year-old car. The alloys are not in a great condition but the interior really is. The leather has hardly worn and the trim is all in really good condition. my Hubby a Nissan Navara, so he no longer needs his beloved Jeep. This is a 1998 Grand Cherokee in a deep bottle green colour. The paintwork/bodywork are in very good condition for the age of the vehicle, there is no noticeable rust to be seen, no major dents or scratches either. I`m not saying it`s in showroom condition but for a 1998 vehicle it is really tidy. The interior is full black leather and has no rips/tears or cigarette burns. The front seats are showing the normal signs of wear,(see picture). The deep grooves are just where the leather has softened with age but they have plenty of life left in them yet. The front seats are heated and have memory function on them as well, both in working order. There is also a fitted dog guard so ideal for dog lovers that take their pets out regularly and a factory fitted sunroof, ideal for the summer days to come! The Jeep has just flown through it`s M.O.T, a mere £50 had to be spent to get it through so this speaks volumes as far as it`s condition is concerned. The tyres have lots of tread left on them so it will be a while before the lucky winner has to part with any money, however you will need to tax the Jeep at the end of March! There are just over 103,000 miles on the clock, which for a vehicle of this kind is nothing. The engines are built to last and in the time that my Hubby has owned this, there have been no major issues. There is a towbar fitted to the Jeep so great if you own a trailer or caravan you use regularly. The best thing about this great Jeep is the economical LPG conversion. This is a real bonus, especially with the ever rising petrol prices. You can put gas in for between 65-70 pence a litre so it`s extremely cheap to run! My Hubby has enjoyed every minute of driving this 4x4, last July we went to Devon in it and it was like sitting in your armchair for the entire journey. and I didn`t want her getting stuck in the snow in winter with the little ones, (no chance with this vehicle). The Car has been very reliable and a joy to drive. During the summer its great with the lid off and as its 4 dr it makes an excellent family car. With the hard top on its very comfortable and surprisingly quite. bargain. We have owned this car since July 2006 and has never let us down. New battery, electric seats, windows, mirrors, central looking, alarm. full time 4WD low range. | Interior - Full black leather, electric seats, electric windows, central locking, folding rear seats, cruise control, digital direction display, low and high range gearbox, power steering etc, etc. | MOT - expired (Will go straight through, has good tyres and new wxhaust system. I just dont use it anymore. Last few years MOT shows that i have only done a few hundred miles per year `When it snows`) | TAX - expired (As the car is never used) | Documents - V5, old MOT`s, invoices. (Have the owners manual somewhere, will see if i can dig it out) | The car shows 5 owners but the last 4 are all in my family... We have had this Jeep for many years and has been passed down through the family (All the same surname and address). | These cars are built to last forever, in the last 10 years we have just serviced it and its needed one front wheel bearing and a new exhaust and that it !!!!!! It has NEVER once let us down! | Never had a tow bar fitted and never used off-road | The jeep is 16 years old and is in really good condition, there was a tiny bit of surface rust (1-2cm square) on the roof and i fixed this 2 years ago and it hasn`t come back. The CD player was stolen a year ago and i haven`t replaced it but you could just get a cheap one from eBay.. (The loom is undamaged). They broke in through the front quarter glass, this has been professionally replaced. | Its a good solid car that will reliably serve for many more years, | I have been completely honest so please no tyre kickers or time wasters. | If you want something cheap that simply can`t get stuck in the snow... out.Few minor scratches on bumpers & around drivers door handle. Starts,runs & drives fine in 2 wheel drive & four.Engine,gearbox,axles,suspension etc. all good.Good oil pressure & has over half tank of petrol.(May go down if I go off road) Being sold as spares or repair due to steering box coming loose from chassis rail at front.(common on these Jeeps) It has been repaired badly & now needs a better welding job doing.Still can be driven but makes the occasional clonk when going over bumps.Easy repair if you do a bit of welding.I was going to sort it out for myself but it`s been sitting there for months so I may as well let it go. Other issues are minor drip from power steering hose,airbag light is on & radio has no code. These are listed on Autotrader with over 100k mileage for £1000+ ish.This has done 77k. Ideal as agricultural,off road or spares(which would be a shame) or export. Car is in Croydon,South London.Easy access junctions 6 or 7 of the M25. Can be viewed/tested 7 days 10am till 7pm. X
