The engine is still in good condition and it still drives well. The last owner told me it had been serviced plus new brakes all round( and it does look that way as the pads have lots of life in them) when he got it but i have lost the invoice so cant prove that but it was done at fox garage. I have just MOTed it and taxed it for a year along with a service that i done to include Spark plugs x8fully synthetic oil Oil filterAir filter At 77715 miles it had LPG conformity test and service and is on the D.V.L.A register as petrol lpg and the log book V5 as petrol/gas you can check this your self on the dvla website. The gas tank is in the spare wheel well and will take 70 litres to fill from empty it does have a full size spare but the tyre needs changing. LPG is the OMVL mulit point injection type and a valve saver. The tyres are all good other then the spare. Heated driver seat not working but passanger seat heats up a treat. Alpine stereo with built in parrot blue tooth it does work but i changed some settings and since cant get it to work right. Infinity gold speakers and power amp.air con works as it should Built in sat nav but its old and i dont know how to use it but it has maps on dvd under rear seat and a remote control that charges up when its in its cradle.Private plate J99P VB (JeeP V8) stays with the car.tow bar and working electrics.Bonnet struts dont work very common so im told but i have a snap-on bonnet brace to go with the car. The engine starts and runs great no faults pulls very well it starts on petrol but changes to gas as soon as you touch the throttle so there is no need to drive 5 miles just to change over like some lpg cars. It will also start on gas if needed. The gear box is good smooth to change no faults at all. I use this car each day so mileage will go up a bit. apparently brought on by a blockage in one of the cooling system hoses, so I took it off the road and it is now currently SORN. I decided that it was too good to scrap, so have had the head gasket replaced. The work has been carried out by one the most reputable garages in the area, and comes with a three month guarantee on the work (dated from now). Receipts will be supplied. A full set of exhaust port, inlet, rocker etc gaskets and new head bolts have also been fitted. The heads have been pressure tested and the heads skimmed. The oil and oil filter have also been replaced. All works carried out are first class and no expense has been spared. Mechanically this jeep is sound, but the rev counter and the oil pressure gauge don’t work, but these electrical minor faults do not impede on the running of the engine, which now fixed, pulls like a train. The air conditioning unit has been removed. The MOT has just expired. There should be no problems getting through another one and I will get it MOT’d for the new owner. I have four years worth old MOTs and some service history including receipts for parts and works carried out. There is also a spare key and brand new remote for the central locking. The tyres have plenty of tread on them and body work is fair, with the usual scratches and scuffs for a car of this age. It`s not going to win any beauty contests, but the only rust that I can find on the body is on the rear window quarter light struts. The Jeep is 16 years old so should qualify for classic car insurance next year. I also have some spare VM engine heads on separate listings, please view my other items for sale. this vehicle has been fitted with an LPG conversion so it will run on either regular unleaded or for around half the price LPG. This obviously means you get the power and torque of the big four liter six cylinder engine and it costs less to run than a much less powerful diesel. It has covered 168,500miles and drives as it should. It has minor corrosion in various places but nothing too serious. The interior is Leather as stated and in fair condition for the age of the vehicle. There are a few marks and so on but there are so many of these things breaking parts are for virtually nothing. The only fault he knows of is the change over switch for the gas/petrol acts up sometimes but again replacement parts are cheap and plentiful. He is only selling this as he never seem to use it and it seems a shame to leave it standing their. the odd off road day. HOWEVER! that plan was discarded once i realised what a nice car this could be with a bit of work. The Wrangler needed a few bits doing here and there, It wasnt neglected by the previous owner it just needed a bit of TLC. The previous owner had owned it for about 6 years and didnt seem to want to get rid of it really, but i had to have it! The Jeep was originally a Jeep demo car at first and was apparently owned by an actress at one point! The Jeep has had a Cobra alarm installed, which is excellent - I have the certificate of installation, which brings the insurance costs down massively. It`s had a new radiator a while ago along with top and bottom hoses. The Jeep has loads, and i mean LOADS of receipts for service items and bits and bobs. I have every MOT for the car and ever so nearly every tax disc bar one or two! (theres a picture to show all this) The Jeep has been recently taxed for 6 months and has just had 12 months MOT. | HPI clear, never been in a total loss accident. | It has an aftermarket head unit that plays CD`s, has an Auxillary input for your MP3 player and also has a DAB radio function aswell as the usual FM/MW etc. I was told by the previous owner it was very expensive but i have no bill to prove. I also have the original head unit to go with the car. The Wrangler always fires up even on the freezing mornings we had a while ago and has never missed a beat. I recently returned from a two week holiday and it started on the first crank! After I bought the car I had a Jeep Technician look over the car and he gave me a list of bits that needed doing. These were: New Stainless Steel Performance Manifold - old one was cracked and blowing (common problem) new one cuts out the cracking problem as it has consetina`d pipes to allow for expansion and retraction and is guaranteed for 6 months. New Anti Roll Bar Bushes and Link Rods all round - old ones were shot New Steering Drag Link Tie Rod End - steering was all over the place! 2 New BF Goodrich A/T KO Tyres to match the others on the car - the other 2 on the car are very good. I still have the 2 that came off it, they still have loads of life left but I wanted to replace them - they will go with the car. New Rear Shocks - near side was leaking so decided to replace both, I`ve kept the off side one that isn`t leaking just as a spare - will go with the car. New Brembo Front Brake Pads - old ones were getting low. A few bits that i decided needed doing: New Key - It only came with one, it`s cut but not yet programmed to the car. I will try to get this done by the end of the listing. I re-painted the front bull bar and wing mirrors as they were peeling and looking tired. I think thats it for all the bits I`ve done/had done. The Jeep itself is excellent to drive. Really fun no matter what the weather! The Wrangler is a very rare sight on the road and in my opinion one of the most versatile vehicles on it. In the summer months you can take the roof and doors off and you can even fold the windscreen down if you want your face ruined! I have had the roof off and I must say it`s great fun and a real head turner! Then in the winter months you can simply put it in 4WD when needed and drive litterally anywhere you want come rain, mud, ice or snow. This really is a swiss army knife of a car! This being the 4.0 makes it the one you want. The 4.0 in this is renowed as being bulletproof. There is no real need to exceed 2000 rpm, this is because it`s geared so high due to it being such a powerful, torquey engine, and the sound it makes is incredible! You might think that the 4.0 is thirstier than the lesser 2.5 but it isn`t, they offer about the same mpg simply because you have to work the 2.5 much more. Lets face it, you can`t have a small engined American car anyway! I average around 23 to the gallon which i think is amazing for 4.0 litre engine considering I dont get out on a run very often. To add to this it is also in much sought after `Sahara` spec which gives you, off the top of my head: nice green cloth seats, leather steering wheel, factory tan hard top, 5 spoke alloys, colour coded arches, stereo sound bar mounted on the roll cage and 2" body lift. The Jeep really stands out as it is 2" higher than a standard wrangler which allows for the massive 32" tyres, they really beef the look of the car up in my opinion. To add to this its got a Smittybilt tubular front bull bar (£350 worth!) which in my opinion makes the Jeep look really aggressive - the way a Wrangler should look! It`s also got tinted windows as you can see in the pictures that modernise the look of the car I think, however if this is not your style they`re only film tints so can be taken off. If you`ve been looking for a Wrangler on the classifieds, you will know most couldn`t hold a candle to this one! | It’s got a tannoy system which has about 60 different sounds like La Cucaracha and fog horns etc, and also lets you speak into it to shout at people, however, the system works intermittently, must be a loose connection somewhere. I’ve never been bothered enough try fixing it but it started working when I drove through a flood last week lol. There is a bit of lacquer peel on the bonnet and scuttle panel. I was thinking of getting them resprayed but just never got round to it really. I had a quote of £250 to paint both panels including preperation and paint etc. The lacquer peel is a common problem on Wranglers due to the engine heating up the bonnet. It`s the sort of thing that if you`re fussy you would have re-sprayed and if you weren`t you would accept it for a 14 year old car. It is what it is so please dont come to view and then want money off due to the lacquer peel because the Jeep is already priced accordingly. Im not in a hurry to sell and will be waiting for the right price. I`ve spent close to £1000 doing the car up, It really is a very good example of a very rare car which I will be sad to see go. Of course, it is a huge amount of fun, versatile and a real head turner.The Jeep comes with a one-piece fibreglass HARD top and a one-piece black canvas SOFT top. So it is perfect for the winter (4-wheel drive for the treacherous weather and an efficient heater) and also for the summer, when you can put the soft top on or remove it completely. You can even remove the doors and the windscreen if you really want the wind through your hair! I have driven down to the south coast with the roof off on a sunny day and it is absolutely wonderful.The 4 litre Sahara is very durable and tough but has the handling of a much smaller car. It is also not as gas-guzzling as one might think. I manage around 22 mpg on average as it is never really necessary to go above 2000 RPM due to the engine being geared so high. Fitted with the attractive green/beige upholstery, SONY CD/FM radio, overhead SoundBar with Pioneer sound system and roll cage this model is of the highest specifications.Previous owners have fitted a slightly larger stainless steel Cat Black exhaust and 5 larger Cooper ATR tyres (paperwork present). The Jeep is also fitted with an alarm, an immobiliser and both driver and passenger airbags.There are a couple of scratches on the outside of the hard top (see pictures 2 & 4) and a small tear in the passenger seat (picture 8).I have all relevant documents. V5 form, a FULL service history and many receipts. The Jeep is taxed until August 2012 and MOTd until October 2012. It passed with flying colours last time with no work required. All in all this is a fantastic car in extremely high condition, with exceptionally low mileage and a real joy to drive.
